Topshop Cream Blush in Butterscotch

Topshop Cream Blush in Butterscotch £6.00

Earlier on in the year I blogged about the Neon Rose version of this cream blush, however Butterscotch is hands down my favourite shade and this is the second pot I've bought. I'm slightly confused as to whether they have discontinued it or not as it is not available on their website and I found it quite hard to track down in store. I'm really hoping it hasn't been discontinued as it's a beautiful shade!

In the photos the colour looks browner than it is in real life. In the pan it seems to have a darker film on  the top which disappears with a couple of uses to reveal the lighter shade underneath - the swatch below is a good representation of the lighter colour.

Love the peachy gold shimmer!

Butterscotch is what I would describe as glowy, it is a light bronze with a peachy-gold shimmer running through. I actually find it more peach than bronze and it doesn't look out of place applied to the pasty skin of my cheeks. Darker complexions may find this more suitable as a highlighter as it is quite a light, neutral colour, however I find it works perfectly as a stand alone blusher and highlighter on my fair skin.

These blushers have a brilliant cream to powder finish which settles perfectly on the face, and despite the fact it gives a powder finish I still find my skin looks dewy when I am wearing this product. The consistency is good and very easy to blend, I am not joking when I say I slap it on my cheeks and go.

In short, I can't get enough of this product, I wear it at least once (but probably more) a week without fail, it's great as a blusher and occasionally as an eyeshadow. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it's not being discontinued, or I may have to write a letter to Phillip Green in protest!
