Collection 2000

I have made quite a few purchases from the Collection 2000 brand recently and wanted to show a few of them here.
Collection 2000 was the first make up brand I bought products from back when I was a wee whippersnapper and it holds great sentimental value to me. As I got older I started to view the brand as a bit naff and stopped paying attention to their products. However, in recent years Collection 2000 has released some cracking products and nowadays I pretty much want the entire range!
Among my recent Collection 2000 purchases are:

Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream in
Cotton Candy £2.99, Boots

I first heard about the Cream Puff Lip Cream through a Lisa Eldridge video and couldn't wait to get my hands on one. Sadly the range is limited to four shades, Cotton Candy was the only colour that appealed to me, the other three shades consist of two nudes and a coral, which don't really suit my complexion.
The texture of this is unlike anything I have ever tried, it feels creamy and moisturising on application and is scented with vanilla - mmm!, gradually it drys on the lips leaving a velvety matte finish. When I first tested this lip cream it dried so quickly and felt completely weightless that I initially thought the product had worn off completely and was slightly disappointed, however when I looked in the mirror the product was still there, perfectly applied, I was completely shocked at how light it felt!
I love the texture of these lip products but please bring more colours to the range!!

Collection 2000 Hot Looks Fast Dry Polish £1.79 each, Boots

I have discussed the Hot Looks polish before on my blog, they are fab dinky pots of nail varnish in a range of gorgeous shades. Big Hair has already featured in a Freshly Painted, see here. I haven't done a blog post on Fruit Salad, but I'm thinking this could be a perfect colour for my upcoming holiday, so watch this space :)

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19, Boots

I have seen so many blog posts on the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer with some even comparing it to Estee Lauder's Double Wear Concealer. With the Collection 2000 version being £15 cheaper I couldn't resist trying it out.

The concealer comes in 4 different shades, as per usual I chose the lightest shade which is fair. The colour is a good match for my skin tone which makes me a happy bunny as I often find even the fairest drugstore concealers are too orange toned for my skin or tend to oxidise on my face - I'm looking at you Rimmel Hide the Blemish! I love the consistency of this product, it is a thick liquid  which is easy to blend and provides fantastic coverage, meaning you only need a small amount to cover an imperfection.

I can't really comment on whether it lasts a whole 16 hours as I never like to wear make up for that long - nothing beats the feeling of a make up free face! All I can say is it lasts well with only the occasional need for touch ups. I really wasn't sure about this concealer as i didn't think it would give me enough coverage, but I couldn't be more impressed. Whilst I mainly use it to cover spots, I have also dabbed it under my eyes to cover dark circles and it does a good job of hiding redness. Best of all this concealer doesn't wear off easily or make your face shiny, for the price I think it's fab and I will definitely be repurchasing!
